Kerckhaert Full Swedge Front

This is the most widely used shoe for the Standardbred racing market. It is used for both the Trotter and Pacer. The shoe works on clay and limestone base race track surfaces, but usually the farrier will put borium (hard-facing material) on them for limestone (stone dust) tracks for additional traction and wear. The rim of the shoe is designed to provide good traction.
